UPDATE – Queensland Floods
Some of you may have heard about the torrential rains in Queensland, Australia. At the moment we are in the middle of what is known as “The Wet” season. Season’s in the northern half of Australia are divided between Wet and Dry (no Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall). The Wet Season lasts from November to April.
According to Tourism Queensland’s update:
Queensland floods and summer rain update
Following recent rainfall, access to parts of Queenslandis currently affected by flooding.
While parts of central, outback and South-western Queensland have been affected, the majority of the state’s tourism destinations including Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Fraser Coast, Southern Downs, Toowoomba, Mackay, Whitsundays, Townsville and Tropical North Queensland are currently accessible and are fully open for business.
