It’s Official… the Holiday Season is Here!
With Thanksgiving behind us we can officially welcome the holiday season. Christmas and Hannukah lights are out, radio stations have been taken over by the all-too-familiar Christmas songs, and we now have some time to think about our next big adventure.
The busiest travel period for Americans is during the summer months. However, if you are planning to visit Australia/New Zealand you will be going during their wintertime. In Australia you can find colder weather in the southern half of the country that make it perfect for visiting the wineries in the Barossa or Margaret River valley, or for visiting Ayers Rock (Uluru) in the middle of the Australian Outback! If you are in the Top End you will find yourself in their “Dry Season” and the best time of year to visit this spectacular area. Diving on the Great Barrier Reef is also fantastic as the water temperature is warm and the lack of rains make for great visibility.
In New Zealand you can find yourself skiing in the Alps on the South Island, or getting a great cultural experience with Maori in Rotorua. Heli-hiking on a glacier, playing golf on world class golf courses and in indulging in their unique varieties of wine also make this a wonderful destination.
So if you are looking to plan a great adventure next summer or want to get some ideas about the best time to travel for you, please call or email me so we can talk about your next great adventure!
Happy Holidays,
Ian
